Ross Edwards

Co-FOUNDER

Ross Edwards began his career working in photography for the film industry and went onto run a number of photographic studios picking up some awards along the way. He also saw the potential of new technology when digital photography came of age.

After moving onto video editing and CGI special effects, working on feature films and corporate films for companies like Porsche and Honda.

Ross, who has years of experience in teaching children Karate started going into schools in their lunch hours and after school clubs to teach the principles of story telling and making films with the help of green screens.

With technology moving on Ross now wants to bring in new tech such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and even how AI along with practical uses of maths, physics and budgeting and marketing can apply to film making.

Danielle Corgan

Danielle Corgan, is Project Co-ordinator/Tutor for the Haverstock School Journalism Project it is funded by the John Lyon’s Charity and their third grant. The students are taught research, interviewing and structuring skills and go out on proper assignments. The articles are published in local publications for example, On the Hill Magazine, Talking Comics and Social Work Helper. In addition, there is a pilot project ‘Words Awry: Stories Told’ where a mixed ability Year 7 class is being introduced to the Journalism Project by developing stories from Words and Themes. The aim of the project is to eventually reach out to every Year 7 regardless of ability and instil the skills needed for good creative writing.

Danielle is committed to finding innovative ways to unleash the writing potential in each student and for them to gain confidence, whilst learning the National Curriculum key skills in a disciplined yet fun, creative and structured way. It is summed up by a recent comment from a Words Awry: Stories Told participant:

Year 7R: Emine: I was able to relax and let my imagination rip!

Trouble shooting’ is something Danielle is good at and she obtains extraordinary results. The belief that ‘every child’ is capable of concentrating, listening and producing really brilliant work is central to her work methods and the results echo this..
